On Earth
The thought that elevates civilizations
We stand on the eve of the symbiosis between biological and artificial intelligence. These chronicles explore what happens to civilizations when they cross this threshold — and what we can learn before it arrives.
A narrative, scientific and interactive project for those who want to think about the future with awareness.

On Earth
A journey towards transcendence — The symbiosis between biological and silicon.
The On Earth blog
Essays, stories and chronicles about where human civilization is heading. We look at the present with clarity and a touch of irony, to understand how to grow alongside Artificial Intelligence instead of fearing it.
Science, philosophy and storytelling in a single path: read to think better, think to evolve.

The Thermodynamics of the Day After. Why the real risk of artificial intelligence is not a machine going mad, but a network that can no longer absorb shocks

Why a news story about artificial intelligence loses information with every copy, and why the real risk is not a machine going mad but a network that can no longer absorb shocks. 1. Telephone game as a law of physics There is a law of information theory that journalists never study and yet apply every day. It is called the data processing inequality. It says something simple: if information passes from A to B and then from B to C, C can never know more about A than B does. Every step can only lose information about the source, never add it. It can add noise, certainly, and plenty of it. This week's news is a textbook demonstration. An American outlet writes that artificial intelligence companies are preparing for "the day after" a possible serious incident. An Italian newspaper summarises it, and the anonymous "many industry insiders" become "many researchers", while "possible" slides towards "inevitable". A news-aggregator site writes the headline, and executives preparing to fight a halt to the models become executives considering stopping them. Nobody lied. The most natural thing in the universe happened: entropy. Each copy was made with little energy, and when energy is saved, order degrades. Noise costs nothing; accuracy does. 2. What is really under the noise Remove the noise and three facts remain. First: the companies plan crisis scenarios. That is normal: airlines, nuclear plants and banks do it. If anything, the news is what they plan. According to the original source, mostly how to handle the public and political reaction.

The Architecture of Fire: From Entropic Servitude to Type 1 Ascension
An epic synthesis of forty-four editorials merging universal thermodynamics with economy, politics, culture, and spirituality. Beyond the linear illusion of entropy, the text reveals the dissipative dynamics governing power, consciousness, and historical cycles, offering a rigorous map for transcending earthly limits. The work culminates in a call for radical evolution: abandoning the fragmented status of a Type 0 Civilization to inaugurate the integrated transition toward a cosmic Type 1.
A unified synthesis that distills the 44 essays into one narrative.
The Thermodynamics of the Day After. Why the real risk of artificial intelligence is not a machine going mad, but a network that can no longer absorb shocks
by Mik Petrov
AI companies are preparing for "the day after" a possible serious incident. Passed from one outlet to the next, the story lost information with every copy. Under the noise lie three serious facts, and a physics lesson: the danger is coupling, not the bot.

The Thermodynamics of Equilibrium: Hicks, Samuelson, and Carbon's Broken Thermostat
by Mik Petrov
There was a moment, immediately following the Second World War, when humanity believed it had finally cracked the source code of prosperity. After the disasters of the Great Depression and the bloodshed of global conflict, the brightest minds in economics decided that...

The Thermodynamics of Fiat Money: Debt, Inflation, and Unconserved Energy
by Mik Petrov
In every economic debate—whether in a television studio, at an academic conference, or among everyday citizens—the subject of money is framed as a matter of policy choices, interest rates set by wise central bankers, or competing ideologies.

Manifesto of the Thermodynamics of Anomalies – The Cosmic Absurd as a Survival Algorithm
by Mikail Petrov
There is a ridiculous arrogance in the way humanity compiles its history books. We convince ourselves that the architecture of our present is the result of great battles, brilliant minds, and revolutions. In reality, the universe operates through a ruthless balance between entropy and negentropy, and when a system stalls, it is not miracles that intervene—but anomalies. Tiny, absurd deviations. A misplaced object. A trivial event. These are not accidents, but precise corrections: minimal inputs engineered to trigger maximum transformation.
